You can configure a DataPage to limit lookup values in a dropdown or listbox field based on a user or role.

This section provides instructions on how to configure a dropdown or listbox with Record Level Security,

  1. Navigate to the DataPages listing of an app. Select a Search and Report DataPage for which you would like to limit look up values in a dropdown or listbox field and click Edit.
  2. In the DataPage DataSource screen, check Enable Advanced Options. Also, ensure an Authentication or Connection is used to enable Record Level Security.
  3. Proceed to the Configure Search Fields screen. Click a field you would like filtered, update the Source field to Both and click the new Security tab. Check Limit lookup values based on user identity. Then match an identity field from the authentication data source or the available connection fields with the lookup data source.
