Troubleshooting Notification Emails

This article provides a troubleshooting plan to ensure that the Caspio notification emails will be accepted by your internal email server.

Troubleshooting Notification Emails

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Add another email address to the “To” field.  Use a Yahoo or Gmail email address and see if the email is received. If yes, proceed to step 2. If not, contact Caspio Support.

2. Your mail server security settings are most likely blocking emails from Caspio.  This article includes the IP addresses that Caspio uses to send notification emails.  Pass the following information on to your email server administrator to add Caspio to the white list.

While we cannot restrict our operations department to use only a few IP addresses, we can provide you with the current MX records that we are using.  They can also be found by running a report against the "caspio.com" domain for MX records. For example, running  "nslookup  -type=mx  caspio.com" from a command prompt window, will provide that information on a Windows system.

MX records for 'caspio.com':

Preference Host Name IP Address
10 elta.caspio.com 70.35.54.100
20 mailer1.caspiomail.com 23.23.128.4
30 mailer2.caspiomail.com 23.23.222.230

Note: We reserve the right to change those records without any prior notice, but it is only done in cases of absolute necessity.  In case of future IP changes, your email server administrator can easily check the MX records and update their rules.
