Caspio Bridge Environment

 

When you log-in to your Caspio Bridge account, you will see a screen like the image below.  Caspio Bridge provides a highly-sophisticated application-like interface in the form of a web page.  There is nothing to download or install.

The main window

Along the top of the main window there is a menu bar that contains options both for creating your apps and monitoring your account.  For example, you can monitor your Usage Statistics through the Account menu.

Under the menu bar there is a tool bar containing the following options depending on your current Explorer window view:

The Explorer Window  Button The Explorer Window button allows you to quickly reopen the Explorer window
The Refresh Button The Refresh button allows you to refresh the objects and data in Caspio Bridge
The Export Button The Export button lets you export an object from your current Explorer window view
The Import Button The Import button opens the Import wizard to import the object type at your current Explorer window view
The Copy Button The Copy button lets you make a copy of a currently selected object
The Rename Button The Rename button lets you change the name of a currently selected object
The Help Button The Help button brings you to the Caspio help center at http://howto.caspio.com

The Explorer window

The Caspio Bridge Explorer, the window in the middle of the interface, is the main center of control for everything you will do in Caspio Bridge.  If you close the Explorer window you can reopen it by clicking on the first button in the main Caspio Bridge window toolbar, or by clicking on the Window menu and choosing Explorer.

The Objects panel

The panel down the left side of the Explorer window gives you access to all of the different object types in Caspio Bridge.  The most common object types are tables and DataPages.  Click on a button on the Objects panel.  You will see objects of that type display in the area to the right.  For example, in the Tables view, only tables are displayed and in the DataPages view, only DataPages are displayed.

This layout has some project flow advantages.  If you’d like to make a new object of any kind, just click on the button for that type in the Objects panel, and then click the New button.

Multiple windows

Caspio Bridge is a multi-windowed interface.  For instance, you can have a table open while viewing a DataPage.
