Business Directory
Deployment Guidelines:
If you haven't already, request the Business Directory and Caspio Support will load the it into your account. Once loaded, follow the below instructions to customize and deploy your app.
- If you're not already familiar with Caspio Bridge, please watch our video tutorials.
- Deploy all DataPages to your own web pages using “Embedded” deployment.
- Note that the public-facing applications in the BDL1_Public folder consist of two DataPages embedded in the same page. Place these deploy codes in the same web page:
- DataPage above: BDL1_Search Box
- DataPage below: BDL1_Business Listings Results
- The alphabet links in the public search interface must be updated to reference your web page above in Step 3. Edit the BDL1_Search Box DataPage and open the HTML Block1 to replace "public.htm" with your own web page file name:

- The application’s default admin login is admin@admin.com with password “admin”.
- Replace your own admin/user information and passwords in this table:
- Table: BDL1_Users
- In the Authentication wizard footer for the DataPage folder BDL1_Businesses, replace the following links:
- Replace “Forgot password?” hyperlink (password_recovery.htm) with your own page URL
- Replace “First time user? Click here” (registration.htm) hyperlink with your own page URL
- Delete the sample data:
- Table: BDL1_Business_Listings
- File Folder: BDL1
- If you would like to send automatic emails when records are received or updated, turn on automatic and notification emails. See how>>
- Add a "Logout" link somewhere in the site header or navigation. See how>>
- Customize the application as you wish, such as:
- Add new fields to the table. See how>>
- Edit DataPage fields. See how>>
- Choose a different style. See how>>
- Feel free add other common customizations.
- Test all application interfaces, functions and navigation, and also confirm that the data is stored and managed to your preferences.
