Creating Dynamic Labels

You can use parameters to dynamically change the field labels of your DataPages.  This is a very easy task to accomplish. In this example we’ll show you how to add dynamic labels to a details page of a Search DataPage.  This article assumes that you have previously created a Search and Report DataPage.

Steps to create dynamic labels

1.  Enable parameters

On the first screen of the DataPage wizard you must enable parameters.

2.  Use the Insert button to the right of the Label field

Proceed to the Configure Details Page Fields screen of the DataPage wizard.  Select a DataPage element that has a label.  Now that parameters have been enabled, to the right of the Label field you will see an Insert button.  The Insert button has two dropdown fields allowing you to select both a parameter fieldname and a format.
