6.8 Interface Changes

 

The first two screens of the DataPage wizard have been updated!  All of your previous DataPages are still totally functional and editable with the new wizard.  When creating new DataPages, you can choose the DataPage type on the first screen – the DataPage Properties screen.  This article explains how the updated DataPage wizard corresponds to the previous interface.

New Interface for the First and Second Screen of the DataPage Wizard

The first screen divides all of the DataPages into different types to make your selection easy and intuitive.  Select the type of DataPage you would like to create and click Next.  The second screen allows you to configure your DataPage properties including:

  • Data Source
  • Name
  • Localization
  • Style
  • Advanced Options and Parameters

Web Forms and other one step forms are listed in the Forms section.

  • Submission Forms – formerly Web Forms
  • Update Forms – formerly included in Web Forms
  • Password Recovery Forms
Forms DataPage Types

Search and Report DataPages are listed in the Reports section.  You can select the Results Page Layout on the first screen:

  • Tabular
  • Gallery – formerly Grid
  • List
  • Details – formerly Direct to Details.

Calendar DataPages have their own section, Calendars.  You can select:

  • Monthly
  • Weekly

The Mobile Forms section further defines the Mobile Form option into:

  • WML Submission Form – formerly included in Mobile Form
  • WML Update Form – formerly included in Mobile Form

Finally, the HTML DataPage has been moved to the Custom section.
