Exporting Views

You can export a view at any time and save the structure to your computer.  Remember that views contain no data.  The data you access through views is actually contained in the referenced tables.  So, if you are exporting a view to move it to another account, remember to export the view and the tables that hold the data.

Steps to export a view structure:

1. Start the Export wizard in the Views view

In the Views view click the Export button.  This brings up the Export View wizard.

2. Select the desired views and click Finish.

You can export any number of views simultaneously by checking them in the Export View wizard.  Click Finish when you have completed your selection.

3. Download the prepared file

View structures contain much less data compared to other objects in Caspio Bridge.  Because of this size difference, preparing their data for export is much faster.  The last screen of the Export View wizard will display a download link so you can save your view in a .ZIP archive format.  You can access this download link later by clicking on the Alerts section in the top right corner of the main Caspio Bridge window.

Summary

View structures are compressed as .ZIP archives.  The same view structure can be imported back into any Caspio Bridge account.  To recreate a view in a different account the tables must be exported separately.
