Format Types
3 minutes to readThis page describes the characteristics of each Caspio format type. You can define format types for the entire DataPage through a Localization and/or format each field separately when configuring DataPage fields.

Number | Defines the presentation of numeric values.

Currency | Defines the presentation of numeric values representing money amounts.

Percent | Defines the presentation of numeric values representing money amounts.

Long date | Defines the long date pattern. Choose one of the many patterns available for the selected region or provide your own format. When specifying a custom format, choose one of the provided patterns first so that it appears in the custom field on the right. Then, choose custom in the end of the list to make the custom field editable, and modify the pattern as necessary. Applies to: Date/Time, Text | ||||||||||||
Short date | Defines the short date pattern. Choose one of the many patterns available for the selected region or provide your own by choosing custom. Applies to: Date/Time, Text | ||||||||||||
Time | Defines the time pattern. Choose one of the patterns available for the selected region, and provide your own AM and PM symbols if desired. Applies to: Date/Time, Text | ||||||||||||
Yes/No | Defines the appearance of fields that have two values only: yes or no. They can be represented as Yes/No, Y/N, 0/1, True/False, or your custom symbols. In addition, you can select distinct colors to mark yes and no values. Applies to: Text, Number, Date/Time, Yes/No |
