Enhancements to Flex

Flex is our next-generation framework for building modern cloud applications.

We are excited to introduce a new AppPage type that can be configured as an overlay window, allowing your users to quickly view, edit, or create records using DataParts without leaving the current AppPage.
You can now use Calculated Values in Tabular and Card reports to display dynamic, condition-based content per record in the reports.
New formatting options for Calculated Values in Forms give you greater control over how values are displayed. Existing calculated values now default to Text format, meaning numbers and dates are displayed without any formatting. You can now apply custom formatting to match your desired presentation.
New formatting options for Pivot Reports allow you to format columns, rows, and values for control and consistency in how data is presented.
Improved performance and usability across several areas, including searching for content and downloading Flex apps from the Marketplace, as well as working with Flex in the Designer.

REST API v3

We are excited to announce the release of REST API v3, delivering a more powerful, secure, and future-ready experience. This new version introduces several important improvements and changes, including new and enhanced API methods, and performance improvements.

REST API v2 remains available with no impact on existing applications but is now considered legacy. We encourage migrating to v3 for long-term support.

New Marketplace Applications Powered by Flex

We are adding new ready-made applications to the Marketplace. They are built entirely on the new Flex framework.

Recruiting Management

These apps are designed to help you get started with Flex. The installation process is entirely self-service and does not require involvement from the Caspio staff. We invite you to try them out and use them “as is” or customize as you wish.

Enhancements to Extensions

Caspio Extensions is a plug-and-play capability that connects your Caspio account to third-party services, enabling various functionalities.

Extension for Slack: We made it easier to select a Slack channel when configuring the extension agents by allowing you to choose from a list of available channels instead of manually entering a channel name. You will need to reinstall the extension from the Marketplace to reauthorize Caspio’s access for editing or adding new agents. Existing agents will remain unaffected and continue to work without any interruption. Learn more about the Extension for Slack.
AI-Powered GPT Connect: New GPT-4.1 models, including 4.1, 4.1 mini, and 4.1 nano, are now available in the extension, offering additional models to enhance your application’s performance and flexibility across diverse use cases. To use the new AI model, simply edit the profile and select the preferred version. Learn more about AI-Powered GPT Connect.
