Updated Structure of DataPart Headings in Flex Apps

Caspio 61.0 includes an update to the structure of DataPart headings that might impact custom HTML and CSS. If your DataParts have custom codes applied in their headings, perform the necessary updates by June 5, 2025.

As a result of the structure change, apps that rely on custom codes might display DataPart headers incorrectly (for example, showing overlapping or misaligned elements). This might affect any custom CSS and HTML in DataPart headings, including those in Ready-Made Apps such as:

Contact Management
Employee Time Off Request
Real Estate Listings
Patient Portal
Business Directory

Required Action

To maintain expected visual layout and prevent display issues:

Locate any custom codes in DataPart headings.
Replace the functionality of the custom code by recreating its behavior using the Header controls feature, located in the Interactive controls section of the DataPage configuration. Once complete, remove the custom code.
Test and validate the layout updates before deploying changes to production.

Updated Channel Selection in the Extension for Slack

In Caspio 60.0, we released an update to the Extension for Slack. After this change, you can select channels from your connected Slack workspace using a dynamic dropdown in an Agent configuration. Previously, channel names needed to be entered manually. This change improves reliability and ensures ongoing compatibility with Slack’s platform.

As a result of this change, you need to reinstall the Extension for Slack by performing the steps below. If you do not take the required action by June 5, 2025, your Extension for Slack will stop delivering messages to Slack channels.

Required Action

To continue using Slack notifications in your applications, follow these steps by June 5, 2025:

Reinstall the Slack Extension
1. In the Caspio Marketplace, click the Extensions tab. Select the Slack extension.
2. On the page of the extension for Slack, click Get and follow the installation steps.
Update Existing Agents in the Extension for Slack
For each Agent that you have in the extension for Slack, repeat the following steps:
1. Hover over an Agent and click Edit. Then, clicking Next twice to see the Outgoing data items step.
2. In the Channel dropdown, select a preferred channel. Click Next.
3. Click Save.
