Enhancements to Flex

Flex is our next-generation framework for building modern cloud applications.

You can now use DataPart field parameters in Overlay AppPage titles, enabling more dynamic and personalized user experiences.
Each AppPage segment now includes a dedicated Create AppPage button, making it faster and easier to add new pages to a segment.
Autonumber fields can now be passed as DataPart field parameters to be used as default values for numeric fields.
Report DataPart buttons can now be placed in the footer of Overlay AppPages, supporting more consistent and user-friendly layouts.

Enhancements to REST API v3

As part of ongoing REST API improvements, the GET Table operation now supports returning properties of Attachment fields such as allowed file types, size limits, image resizer settings, alternate text, and title. This provides better control and visibility when working with file-based fields.

Enhancements to Extensions

Caspio Extensions is a plug-and-play capability that connects your Caspio account to third-party services, enabling various functionalities.

Extensions with no activity for 90 days will now be automatically marked as “Suspended”. Users can reactivate them when needed. This helps to keep your account more secure.

New Marketplace Applications Powered by Flex 

We have introduced two new asset types in the Marketplace: App Blocks and Vertical Solutions, along with new Starter Apps. App Blocks are modular components designed to help you build applications faster, while Vertical Solutions are industry-specific apps provided by Caspio partners. All new starter apps and App Blocks are built on the Flex framework to ensure a modern experience, while Vertical Solutions are built on either the Bridge or Flex frameworks for flexibility and customization.

These starter apps and app blocks are designed to help you get started with Flex. The installation process is entirely self-service and does not require involvement from the Caspio staff. We invite you to try them out and use them “as is” or customize as you wish.
