To take full advantage of the features available to you with Caspio Directories, you must create an entity called a directory. Once created, you will be able to populate your directory with user data and utilize the inbuilt access management features.

There are two ways to create a directory:
- Create a new directory.
- Convert a table existing in your Caspio account into a directory. See Converting Tables to Directories.
Steps:
- From the sidebar navigation menu, select Directories.
- In the upper right corner, click the Create directory button.
- In the modal that opens, enter the directory name.
A directory name cannot overlap with any table name. - Click Save.
