Deleting and Disabling Identity Providers
2 minutes to readIn Caspio Directories, you can delete or disable an identity provider. The result of each action is significantly different:
- Delete – removes an identity provider and all users assigned to it.
- Disable – prevents the users from being able to sign in with a given provider to Caspio apps.
Steps to delete an IdP:
- In your directory, click the Identity providers tab.
- Hover over an identity provider and select Open.
- Select Actions → Delete on the right.
- In the modal that opens, type DELETE.
- Confirm you want to remove this identity provider and all assigned users by clicking Delete.
Result: The identity provider and all users added to this identity provider are removed.
Steps to disable an IdP:
- In your directory, click the Identity providers tab.
- Hover over an identity provider and select Open.
- Select Actions → Disable on the right.
- In the modal that opens, click Disable to confirm the change.
Result: Users added to this identity provider are now prevented from signing in until the identity provider is enabled again.
Steps to enable a disabled identity provider:
- In your directory, click the Identity providers tab.
- Hover over a disabled identity provider and select Open.
- Select Actions → Enable on the right.
- In the modal that opens, click Enable to confirm the change.
