Enhancements to Flex

Flex is our next-generation framework for building modern cloud applications.

In this release, we introduced the following enhancements:

AppPage duplication across applications – You can now duplicate AppPages between different applications. Previously, duplication was limited to within the segments of the same app. This enhancement simplifies reuse and speeds up development across projects.
Improved mobile usability – Enhanced the layout of the application title, HTML, and menu widgets to deliver a more seamless and intuitive experience on mobile and tablet devices.

Enhancements to Extensions

Extensions are plug-and-play modules that connect your Caspio account to third-party services, enabling various functionalities.

AI-Powered GPT Connect

This release adds the following capabilities to the AI-Powered GPT Connect extension:

Bring your own OpenAI account – Available in select plans, organizations can connect their own OpenAI account to maintain direct control over data governance, compliance, and retention within their enterprise environment.
Real-time web search – Web search option is now available for all AI models where OpenAI supports it, providing access to the most current information on the internet and not limited to the model’s training data, improving relevance and accuracy for time-sensitive or evolving topics.
New GPT-5 model suite – The extension now includes the latest GPT-5 models, such as GPT-5 mini and GPT-5 nano, offering greater flexibility and performance optimization across a wide range of use cases.
Response status field in Extension Agents – A new Response status field has been added to Extension Agents, enabling capture of success or failure outcomes along with a reason message. The field can be mapped to a table column for consistent tracking and reporting.

Enhancements to Account Billing 

Backup Credit Cards – You can now add one or more backup credit cards alongside your primary card. If your primary card ever fails, payments will automatically switch to a backup card to prevent service interruptions. Learn more.

Deprecations

Caspio REST API v1 and v2 will be deprecated on June 1, 2026. We recommend updating your integrations to REST API v3 before this date. Learn more.
