Enhancements to Flex

Flex is our next-generation framework for building modern cloud applications. Learn more about Flex from our announcement article.

In this release, we added enhancements to the following areas:

Search Forms: You can now add virtual fields to your forms.
Card Reports:
- Fields with Attachment data type can now be displayed as images.
- The field label position is now configurable.
Tabular and Card Reports: You can now configure a toolbar control to open a specific URL.
Charts: You can now hide and show the chart legend as desired.

New Ready-Made Applications Built on Flex

We added new ready-made applications to the Marketplace. They are built entirely on the new Flex framework.

Task Management
Employee Time Off Requests
Property Management
To-Do List

These turnkey apps are designed to help you get started with Flex. The installation process is entirely self-service and does not require involvement from the Caspio staff. We invite you to try them out and use them “as is” or customize as you wish.

The new apps will be available once all sites are updated with Caspio 55.0 release.

Enhancements to Extensions

Caspio Extensions is a new plug-and-play capability that connects your Caspio account to third-party services, enabling various functionalities.

Slack Integration – A New Extension

We are excited to release the Slack extension, which enables you to send messages to your Slack channels based on your data events such as insert and update.

AI-Powered GPT Connect – Improvements

AI-Powered GPT Connect enhances your applications and workflows with intelligent AI-driven capabilities.

In this release, we added the following enhancements:

The ability to choose between two OpenAI models: GPT-4o or GPT-4o mini. GPT-4o is ideal for complex, high-precision tasks requiring advanced language understanding. GPT-4o mini is optimized for fast performance when processing simpler tasks and it costs less to operate.
Support for many types of files such as PDF, Word documents, spreadsheets, presentation files, code files, and more.
We replaced the term “actions” with “agents” for improved clarity and relevance.

Enhancements to Caspio Webhooks

Caspio Webhooks allows your applications to communicate with third-party systems in real time when data changes occur.

In this release, we added the ability to send field data type information in custom payloads. This is helpful for ensuring accurate data handling in external systems, such as distinguishing between text and numerical fields to apply the appropriate processing rules.
