Chat is the first form of AI Agent, allowing app users to ask questions in plain language and receive answers based on the data available to the agent. You define which data the AI Agent can access and how it behaves.
How an AI Agent handles data
An AI Agent uses data from the tables and views you explicitly select as data sources, limited to the specific fields you allow. This defines the maximum scope of data the agent can access. The signed-in app user’s Role permissions are applied on top of this scope. The agent never returns data that the user’s Role does not already permit them to access, even if the data is included in the agent’s configured data sources.
