Manage Accounts
2 minutes to readThe Accounts tab lists the Caspio accounts in your organization. Once an account belongs to your organization, only organization members can be granted access to it. Use this tab to add accounts, open an account to manage its access, and remove accounts.
Add an account
- On the Accounts tab, select Add account.
- Under Select account, select an account from the Account list. You can only add accounts where you are the account owner or an administrator.
- Under Select users, review the list of users in that account. All eligible users are selected by default. Clear the checkbox for any user you want to remove from the account.
- Select Add.
- On the confirmation, review the account name and the number of users to be removed when applicable, then select Add to continue.
Which users can join
The account owner is always included and cannot be cleared. Every other user must meet your organization’s membership requirements. Users who do not qualify are marked with a warning icon and cannot be selected.
If the account owner is on a different domain
An account can only join if the account owner’s Caspio ID uses your organization’s domain. Otherwise the Account field shows an error. The owner can switch to an address on your domain, or transfer the account to someone already on it.
Manage access to an account
Adding an account to your organization restricts it so that only organization members can be granted access. It does not grant access to anyone. That is done inside the account itself.
- On the Accounts tab, select the account row, then select Manage access. The account’s own user management opens in a new tab.
- Grant or revoke access for individual members there, using the account’s users and groups.
Repeat this for each account a member needs. Access is granted per account, so a member who needs three accounts in your organization needs access granted in all three.
You must be an administrator of the account to change its access. Being an organization administrator does not by itself give you permission to manage users inside an account.
Remove an account
Removing an account from your organization drops the member-only access restriction. Access then follows the account’s own permissions rather than your organization’s membership.
- On the Accounts tab, select the account row, then select Remove.
- On the confirmation, verify the account name, then select Remove.
