Introducing the AI Assistant (Beta)

The AI Assistant Beta expands Caspio’s focus on AI-driven app development across the platform. Now you can build and manage an entire Flex application just by describing it in plain language, turning hours of configuration across multiple screens into a single conversation. It lowers the learning curve and removes friction from app development. You can keep refining the app through the conversation or take over in the Flex Designer at any time. It’s a meaningful step up from the previous AI Assistant, which was limited in what it could do.

Enhancements to Flex

Flex is our next-generation framework for building modern cloud applications. 

New form elements in Form DataParts
- Email form element validates user input for text fields, so app users see a clear error if they enter anything that isn’t a valid email address.
- Date and Time form element gives Date/Time fields a calendar picker with configurable minimum and maximum boundaries and selectable time intervals, eliminating typing errors and preventing app users from selecting dates and times outside the range you allow.
The Header Panel and Radio Button controls in Flex apps are now optimized for mobile viewports, greatly improving the user experience on phones and tablets.
Attachment fields in DataParts now use a new set of icons to indicate file types and display when previews are unavailable, giving app users clearer visual cues for identifying files.

Enhancements to Vault

Vault helps you package, review, and transfer Flex applications between accounts.

HIPAA and Compliance accounts can now include app users and data in Vault packages, extending the feature previously available only to non-HIPAA accounts.
New package settings let you configure app parameters and sender emails before generating a package.
You must now acknowledge any package that contains data before sending it.

Object ID in Outgoing Webhooks

Outgoing webhooks now expose a new [out-hook:objectId] parameter in both default and custom payloads, allowing you to identify the Caspio object that triggered the webhook even if the object is later renamed or modified.

Enhancements to Extensions

Extensions are plug-and-play modules that connect your Caspio account to third-party services, enabling various functionalities.

AI-Powered GPT Connect - GPT 5.4, 5.4 mini, and 5.4 nano are now available alongside existing models. You can use these models for their latest reasoning and accuracy to power AI features in your apps.
Barcode Generator – ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 barcodes can now optionally display human-readable ISBN above the barcode, matching standard publishing industry presentation.
