Introducing AI agents and knowledge bases

You can now create your own AI agents and give them knowledge bases to draw on. Build an agent once at the account level, then select it in the Chat AI Agent of any Flex app, so app users get answers shaped by your instructions and your own documents.

Your choice of AI provider – Power each agent with models from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google, and pick the one that best fits the job.
Answers that sound like your business – Give each agent a purpose, the topics it covers, and a tone, so it stays on topic and speaks the way you want.
Answers grounded in your own documents – Upload policies, guides, and other reference files to knowledge bases, so agents answer from your content. Share one knowledge base across several agents.

Enhancements to Flex DataParts

Custom JavaScript – Add your own JavaScript to a DataPart for behavior beyond the built-in settings. Scripts refer to DataParts and AppPages by name instead of hardcoded IDs, so they keep working after you rename objects or move the app to another account.
Calendar DataPart – Set the hours that Week and Day views show first, such as your business hours, and show more than the title on each event, such as location or a short note.
Download data from reports – App users can now download Tabular and Card Report data as a CSV file as well as XLSX, and Cards DataParts now offer the same download in both formats.
Unsaved changes warning – App users are warned before they leave a form with changes they haven’t saved, so they don’t lose their work by accident.

Enhancements to Caspi

Caspi, your AI app builder, can now take on more of your Flex app work.

Generate custom JavaScript – Describe the behavior you want, and Caspi writes the JavaScript for the DataPart’s custom script and adds it once you approve it. Extend your DataParts without writing code yourself.
Back up before Caspi builds – Save a Vault backup of your app before Caspi applies a plan, so you can return to the earlier version if the result isn’t what you expected.
Sign-Up and User Update forms – Ask Caspi to create and edit these forms, just like the other DataParts it supports.
Report downloads – Caspi can add a download option to your reports.

Enhancements to REST API v4 and API profiles

Manage directory users – Suspend, unsuspend, unlock, and reset passwords and two-factor authentication for directory users, one at a time or in bulk, without opening Directories.
Bulk custom permissions – Assign or remove API profile permissions for many objects at once instead of one by one.
Faster API profile setup – Start a new API profile with no access or full access to all objects.

Other improvements

The outgoing webhooks list shows the tables and directories each webhook event uses.
Task notification emails show what happened to your records and which tables and directories were affected.
Data import/export task notification emails now use a template similar to the one for task notifications.
App installations from Vault or Marketplace that complete with issues now separate important issues from recommended setup.
The Flex app creation screen has a new option to build your app with Caspi.
Directories and Bridge screens have updated labels, empty screens, and ID columns.

REST API v4 response changes – To make REST API v4 easier to work with, more responses now use the same structure. These changes may affect existing integrations. Learn more.
